I used baby fingering and a Barbie ball gown pattern to make this under-dress. My theory is that it will give some body to the sewn dress without actually making a bustle, since we all agree that Emily Dickinson would not have worn either a bustle or a corset.

Looking good so far. Perhaps Barbie is going to need a touch of hair dye. Or maybe someone has an old Sindy, they used to have brown hair.
